MG Comet EV - The New young EV in the market

MG (Morris Garages) is a well-known British automotive brand that is now owned by the Chinese automotive manufacturer SAIC Motor Corporation Limited. MG Motor India is the Indian subsidiary of MG, and it has been operating in the Indian market since 2019. MG Motor India offers a range of vehicles, including both gasoline-powered and electric vehicles. Recently MG has launched its new electric vehicle – MG Comet EV. 

MG Comet EV bookings commence with token amount of Rs 11,000/- Its also important to note that the below prices are introductory prices for the first 5000 bookings.

MG Comet EV is a 4 seater car with 3 doors Its considered to be a small city car. MG Comet EV comes in three variants:

  1.  The starting variant is the Pace variant which starts from Rs. 7.98 lacs (ex-showroom). 
    1. Starlight Black Interiors
    2. Full Digital Cluster with 17.78cm Embedded LCD Screen
    3. Power Adjust ORVM
    4. Reverse Parking Sensors 
    5. This comes only is Candy White body colour
  2. The second variant is the Play variant which starts from Rs. 9.28 lacs (ex-showroom). The Play variant has all the features of Pace variant and additionally has the following add-ons:
    1. Space Grey Interiors
    2. Floating Twin Display with 26.04cm Touchscreen Infotainment System
    3. Wireless Android Auto & Apple Car Play
    4. i-Smart with 55+ connected car features
    5. Available colours are:
      1. Candy White
      2. Aurora Silver 
      3. Starry Black. 
  3. The third and feature packed variant is the Plush variant. This variant starts from Rs. 9.98 lacs(ex-showroom) and has additional features like:
    1. Space Grey Interiors
    2. Floating Twin Display with 26.04cm Touchscreen Infotainment System
    3. Smart Start System
    4. Digital Key With Bluetooth Technology
    5. Reverse Parking Camera
    6. Wireless Android Auto & Apple Car Play

    8. This variant also comes with dual tone colours:
      1.  Apple Green & Starry Black
      2. Candy White & Starry Black
      3. Starry Black

The above are some of the features mentioned. MG Comet EV can also be customised in many ways like choosing the body colours with stickers or graphics and also customising the interior with various packs. MG has kept the youth in mind and also has a game edition of the Comet EV.  

MG Comet EV has a turning radius of 4.2 and its comes with a Prismatic Cell battery of 17.3kWh along with a permanent magnet synchronous motor which produces 42 PS power with upto 110 Nm torque. 

MG Comet EV has a range of 230 kms and it takes around 7 hours for 100 percent charge. This EV can be charged 80% in 5 hours.
