Electric scooter Okaya Freedom Li  is a low speed model which does not require registration or insurance. The speed limit of the scooter is around 27 kph to 30 kph

Okaya Freedom electric scooter comes with a switch key start and also has a Remote start /stop. When the scooter is initially switched on either with key or remote the scooter goes into parking mode. This kind act as safety feature for this particular electric vehicle so that it does not move front or back if the accelerator is given by mistake.

Okaya Freedom Li is secured with an anti theft alarm system along with a feature that the back wheel gets locked if anybody tries to move it when locked or in off mode.  

Some of the information shown in the electric scooter Digital instrument cluster are speed, kilometers run, available battery charge, etc.. The scooter comes with LED daytime running lights, indicators, Headlights and taillights. Another unique feature of this scooter is that it has horn buttons on both the sides which is good for people who get confused on identifying which side the horn button is. The scooter comes with a reverse mode feature at 3 kmphand has a Mobile charging point.

Okaya Freedom electric scooter comes with telescopic front suspension and a monoscopic rear suspension along with stylish steel rims and tubeless tyres. On the braking side the scooter comes with drum brakes both in the front and rear and the wheel size is 10 inches. 

Okaya Freedom comes with a 1.4 kWh (48V 30 Ah) portable Lithium-ion battery. The battery itself has a display on it which shows the percentage of charge, voltage, load etc..

Okaya Freedom comes with a 250W waterproof BLDC hub motor. The scooter can run 70 kms in a single charge and will take around 4-5 hours for a full charge. So roughly the electricity consumption will be around 1.5 units which would cost around Rs. 12. The company itself is claiming that the cost per km could be around 11 paisa. This could vary from state to state depending on the electricity charges. 

Okaya Freedom has two battery charging options – first option being with a charging cable directly connected to the battery charging port right under the seat and second option is to remove the battery and charge it inside the house or office. 

Okaya Freedom does not have any under seat space. The main reason they are pointing is that they do not want anything being kept alongside the battery. 

Okaya Freedom electric scooter comes in eleven color options. The on road price of Okaya Freedom is Rs. 69,900/- with insurance being optional as this electric scooter doesn’t require registration.
