Tork Motors launched its electric motorcycle KRATOS on January 26 along with its variant KRATOS-R. The motorcycles are priced at Rs 1.08 lakh and Rs 1.23 lakh (effective ex-showroom Pune after subsidies).
Electric two-wheeler firm Tork Motors, backed by Bharat Forge, said the bookings can be made online through its website and deliveries will start in April 2022.
Kratos has a 4kWh battery with a range of 120km and can accelerate from 0 to 40 kmph in 4 seconds with a top speed of 100 kmph, the company said in a statement.
On the other hand, KRATOS-R has a 9 kWh battery and accelerates from 0-40 kmph in 3.5 seconds, reaching a top speed of 105 kmph.
In addition to home charging (at a rate of 25% per hour), fast charging is also available for the R, which Tork estimates can charge the bike to 80% in less than an hour.
KRATOS-R has many features, including geofencing, a find my vehicle function, motor walk assist, a crash alert mode, analytics for the track mode, smart charge analysis, and the vacation mode.
For the convenience and connectivity of riders, Tork Motors plans to install a network of charging stations around the city, called T NET.
Customers of Kratos-R can access Tork Motor’s T NET without any charge for a period of two years.
“We believe our rigorously tested product will be a gamechanger in the mobility segment, that will not only benefit our customers in making an informed choice but also offer financial benefits such as saving money on fuel,” said Kapil Shelke, Founder-CEO, Tork Motors.
The company said it will launch the bike pan-India in a phased manner.
In phase one, starting from Pune, the bike is being launched in Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Ahmedabad, and Delhi while in phase two, the plans are to launch it across 100 cities.
