Comparing Hero Electric Optima HX with Okinawa Raise

We are seeing an explosion of new launches in the electric scooter market giving people endless choices. To make it simple for prospective buyers/purchasers, we compare Hero Electric Optima HX with Okinawa Raise.

Optima HX is a premium offering from Hero Electric which is launched in both single and dual battery options. The design language of this electric scooter is attractive with features like LED headlight & taillight, digital instrument panel, Telescopic suspension, USB port for charging smartphones, attractive alloy wheels, portable battery, Ryzen braking system and comes with four colour options. 

Optima HX features a 550 watts BLDC electric motor and is capable of touching a top speed of 42 kmph. This electric motor squeezes power from a 51.2V/30Ah portable battery that delivers a full range of 82 km in a single charge. The battery can be fully charged in 5 hours time. Optima HX also has a dual battery version which can cover 122 km on a single charge. 

Okinawa’s Raise features a 250 watts BLDC motor and is capable of touching a top sped of 25 kmph. This electric motor gets power from a 48V/24Ah Lead acid battery that delivers a 60 kms range in a single charge. The battery can be fully charged in 5 – 6 hours. 

Okinawa Raise features alloy wheels with tubeless tyres, digital speedometer, under seat storage space, and beige seats. Raise comes in one color option.

Okinawa Raise gets 1 year warranty for its battery, Vehicle warranty is 3 years and motor warranty is 36 months or 30000 kms. Hero Electric offers a 3 years warranty for its Optima HX scooter.

Hero Electric has kept the starting price of the single battery variant of their scooter at Rs 55,580/- while the starting price of its dual battery variant has been kept at Rs 65,640/- where as the price of  Okinawa Raise is Rs. 45000/- Prices are subject to vary from state to state. 

Okinawa is priced attractively but offers minimal features and the main disadvantage while comparing with Hero Optima HX is that Okinawa Raise comes with a lead acid battery which is very less durable but to ride Okinawa Raise we do not require a license nor a RTO registration. 

Here we see Hero Electric Optima HX single battery option as a value for money option.
