Comparing Ampere Magnus EX with ETrance NEO from Pure EV

The Indian electric scooter market presently has a lot of options to choose from and here we are looking at two models Ampere Magnus EX and Pure ETrance NEO.

ETrance NEO electric scooter boasts of a stylish modern design body language with attractive looking LED headlight setup, LED turn indicator light, stylist LED taillight, and modern stylish head-turning look body panels with eye-catching attractive color options.

Ampere Magnus EX includes key features like LED headlight, large legroom space of 450 mm, Keyless entry, vehicle finder, anti theft alarm, easy to remove battery- recharge & ride again, aesthetically designed wide seat for superior driving comfort. Magnus comes with three colour options and ETrance NEO has six colour options. Under seat capacity of Magnus EX is 15 liters, but for ETrance NEO, the under seat is equal to nil. 

Ampere Magnus EX has a 1200-2100 Watts motor with a 2.29 kWh battery and claims to reach 0 to 40 kmph in 10 seconds.  ETrance Neo electric scooter has a 2200 W Brushless hub motor which allows the scooter to reach 0 to 40 kmph in 5 seconds and has a 2.5kWh portable battery pack setup with the ultra-performance system.

The Pure ETrance NEO scooter claims a range of 90 – 120 kms in a single charge with the battery charging time being 4 hours.  Ampere’s Magnus EX claims 100 plus kms range in a single charge with the charging time being 6 to 7 hours.

The Magnus EX offers two riding modes: eco mode and power mode.  Etrance NEO offers three modes: Mode 1 (30 kmph) , Mode 2 (45 kmph) and Mode 3 (55-60 kmph)

The prices do differ in many states due to the subsidies but both these electric scooters are evenly priced at around Rs 84,000/- plus
