Hyundai India plans to launch large-scale electric cars in India within the next three years. The company chose to be tight-lipped about the developments, however, considering the recognition of the sub-four meter segment, the Hyundai Venue might get an electrical drivetrain.
The electric iteration of the Venue could also emerge as a robust competitor to the likes of Tata Nexon EV in India. That said, the corporate is yet to figure on plans for a specialized distribution system for EVs.
The company has acknowledged 14 EV charging units at its newly inaugurated Hyundai Corporate headquarter.
It currently has 3 DC fast chargers and 11 AC standard chargers.
Hyundai Kona EV car owners can charge from the Hyundai headquarters.
To showcase its technological prowess, the corporate showcased the Nexo and therefore the Ionic 5 during the inaugural event of India headquarter but there are not any plans to launch them anytime soon within the country.
