Raft Indus NX is an upcoming electric scooter from Raft Motors which has a range of 480 kms in a single charge. If this claim is true, this makes it the longest range electric scooter available in India.

According to Raft Motors, Raft Indux NX can achieve a 480 kms range at a top speed of 40-45 kmph. The company also claims that Raft Indus NX can also reach 500 kms plus in a single charge if driven at 25 kmph. 

Raft Indus NX comes with three battery options:

  • A base variant with a 48V 65Ah portable lithium-ion battery that can go up to 156 kms range
  • A mid variant with a 48V 135 Ah portable Lithium-ion battery that can go up to 324 kms range
  • And a high end variant with dual battery option which will have both portable battery and a fixed battery beneath the footboard. The fixed battery will be a 48V 135 Ah Lithium-ion battery and the portable battery will be 48V 65Ah. This variant can go up to 480 kms range

 

The Raft Indus NX’s range was put to test with a 75 kilograms load with a top speed of 40-45 kmph. 

Raft Indus NX dual battery option comes with a MCB (Miniature Circuit Breaker) which is kept for the safety of the riders. When the fixed battery runs out of charge the rider just has to switch the MCB and the Electric scooter will start running on portable battery.

Raft Indus NX has the portable battery located under the seat.  The rider also gets a small space under the seat for the charger. 

Raft Motors has assembled these Lithium-ion batteries in-house and offers a three years warranty or 1,00,000 kms.

Raft Indux NX comes with a default 10 Amp charger which can charge the electric scooter in 6 – 8 hours. 

Raft Motors also offers 30 Amp and 50 Amp chargers along with the electric scooter which is additionally priced at Rs. 15000/- and Rs 25000/- respectively. Using these high amp chargers the charging time can again be reduced. The chargers comes with a 12 months warranty. 

Raft Motors has thought well of taking the riders concerns seriously by offering them with more  options with range and chargers. 

Raft Indus NX comes with a BLDC hub motor and the motor controller warranty is one year. 

Raft Indus NX electric scooter comes with telescopic suspension in the front, along with a front disc and rear drum brakes and also comes with alloy wheels fitted with  tubeless tyres. 

The Raft Indus NX comes in the low speed category electric scooter, which means the riders will not require a license nor a registration for the electric scooter. 

Raft Indus NX features includes Anti-Theft, park assist, reverse mode, Keyless start, remote locking, Daytime running Headlight, Digital display, Regenerative braking system and child safe parking mode function. 

Raft Indus NX electric scooter with many variants to choose from starts at a price range of Rs. 1,20,000/- and goes upto Rs 2,60,000/-
